Before he became world-renowned as the most perfectely developed human
specimen, and before he offered his complete
fitness course, Charles Atlas found employment as an artist's
model. He was greatly appreciated as a model because of his
highly-developed human form and because he was able to hold akward
poses for many hours without effort or strain.
